as the title suggests this is just opinion and nothing more .....
that said here a few predictions to start
1. we see more 00v stuff in the robot damashii line in 2011
- i base this on the pics we saw of new items from tamashii nation 2010 . we have had 00 seven sword for some time now and the 00v line has since been blessed with cherudim saga and recently the arios ascalon and i see a future with I gundam ( maybe even a 1.5 gundam ) and others from the side stories such as the astrea type f / f2 as standard releases.
2 . we will see more versions of the rx78-2 than we really need
- the up coming figure will lead to a slew of repaints and tamashii web item ( proto , g3 , roll out colors ) as well as the obvious gm variants.
3 . we wont get a full 00 movie main line up till at least the end of 2011 . sadly damashii figures release dates are well spaced and it would take some time to work through all the gundams from the 00 movie ( awakening of the trailblazer ) when you consider the other gundam series being covered.
lastly tamashii web limited items are giving me concern at the moment , not that there bad in any way. I just think that limited items should be that and not just a pre order thing , the unit chosen for limited release by bandai should be a rarity in the show too , not just as an action figure. the recently released jegan type d is a fairly common suit in the unicorn ova ep 1 and yet its become a tamashii exclusive ! why? could nobody come up with anything better ? ..... i still got it mind , but because i like the design and not because its exclusive and thats what concerns me , that bandai can pick the things it knows we want because we like the design and charge us more and make us wait to get it.
i hope you have the good sense to see a figure is only worth as much as the feeling it gives you , and not how much bandai charges.
